Our new monthly Melbourne event series is an opportunity to come together to connect and create space for your mental health and well-being.
Our June event will be facilitated by Marjane Beaugeois. Marjane is a registered mental health counsellor and has been facilitating cacao ceremonies in group settings, fostering human connections, spiritual awakening, and care.
Topic: Cacao and Connection with Marjane Beaugeois
An uplifting and heart-opening Cacao Ceremony.
Cacao ceremonies are Mayan and Aztec shamanic rituals that date back to 2000 BC.
Cacao contains a molecule called theobromine, which acts to stimulate blood flow and release endorphins, creating feelings of warmth and openness.
All are welcome to join to experience ceremony using this subtle plant medicine, meditate, connect and share stories. The session will end in group song and body movement with traditional Amazonian songs called “Icaros”.

Time: Please arrive from 6:45pm for a 7pm start, finish at 8:30pm.
Price: $25, Concession $15. All funds raised will go directly towards Mind Medicine Australia, with 50% going to supporting advocacy efforts and 50% going to MMA’s Patient Support Fund.

Marjane Beaugeois

Marjane is a trauma-informed addictions and mental health counsellor with over 7 year’s experience in spiritual healing practices and ancestral plant medicines.
Marjane grew up in France, completing a degree in Biology there, and then her Masters in Australia. Marjane undertook training as a trauma informed counsellor and has a strong understanding of the power of plants and medicinal fungi. She strongly believes in the power of psychedelic-assisted therapy for to help save lives.
Marjane has her own unique lived experiences of trauma, PTSD and anxiety and is now an active member of Mind Medicine Australia’s Melbourne Chapter, strongly advocating for urgent reform in Australia to enable these important plant medicines to be used in a clinical setting to help those who are suffering with a range of mental illnesses.
