Psychiatrist
Dr Kevin Ong is a psychiatrist with over 17 years’ experience helping people with serious mental health conditions. He has worked across public, private, and forensic services, including the Psychological Trauma Recovery Service at Austin Health, supporting people affected by work and accident-related trauma, and the Blue Hub program for Victoria Police, providing specialised mental health care to first responders.
Kevin is an Authorised Prescriber of psychedelic-assisted therapies and trained through Mind Medicine Australia. He is passionate about the possibilities of PAT, viewing it as a transformative option for people who have not found relief with traditional treatments. His practice is trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and centred on safety and collaboration.
Outside of psychiatry, Kevin enjoys time with family, cooking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and time with his Lagotto dog.

Throughout her leadership journey, Kayla has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, driven service innovation, and delivered meaningful improvements in patient experience and clinical outcomes within complex and highly regulated healthcare environments. She is passionate about challenging traditional models of care and identifying opportunities to enhance access, quality, and patient-centred treatment pathways.

Melinda Matthews is a Healthcare Leader and Credentialed Clinical Pharmacist with extensive experience in harm minimisation applied across community pharmacy, aged care, education, and the emerging medicines sector. She is the Co‑Founder of CannXtions and The Alternative Approach Clinics, where she has led the development of innovative, compliant models supporting the integration of emerging therapies into mainstream healthcare.
Professionally, Melinda has built a career focused on business operations, clinical governance, and stakeholder collaboration within highly regulated environments. She has held senior national leadership roles across alternative medicine clinic and dispensary networks, overseeing operational frameworks, quality systems, and cross‑sector partnerships aligned with evolving TGA and professional practice requirements.
A key focus of Melinda’s work has been outreach and engagement in a TGA‑restricted advertising landscape. She has designed and delivered education‑led strategies that support healthcare professional engagement, referral pathways, and community awareness through CPD‑accredited programs, professional forums, and collaborative initiatives. Her work consistently balances innovation with regulatory compliance, transparency, and ethical practice.
In her role with Mind Medicine Australia Clinic, Melinda contributes strategic leadership across business management, governance, and external engagement, supporting the responsible integration of Psychedelic‑Assisted Psychotherapy within contemporary models of care. Leonie Katarina Tepe
Quality Care Manager
Leonie is a provisionally registered psychologist and supports the clinical team by ensuring the safety, well-being and comfort of clients and staff at the Mind Medicine Australia Clinic.
As MMAC’s Quality Care Manager, she oversees all aspects of the client experience, from initial inquiries and intake assessments to post-treatment and follow-ups. With work experience across international clinical research projects, Leonie is passionate about delivering holistic and engaging care for all involved.
Anthony Licciardi
Clinic Coordinator
With a strong passion for health and empowering others, Anthony works as the Clinic Coordinator at the Mind Medicine Australia Clinic, facilitates mental health programs in high schools, and provides care as a support worker. With a background in Biomedicine, he’s completed the Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies Course and studying a Master’s in Psychotherapy & Counselling to deepen his skills in the mental health field and help build stronger, more connected communities. Outside of work, he enjoys running, DJing, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and playing guitar — all of which keep him grounded and balanced.
